A.G.O.

A.G.O. is the acronym of Art Gallery of Ontario. That is a very old building, probably it is one of the most old Toronto's building, but it has a new part together old one. AGO is on the middle of the city and, after many years, the gallery has become in a important musseum thanks to Canadian pictures collection.
On Wesnesday, I went to AGO in order to discover the main Canadian painter (i.e. Tom Thomson and Group of seven). Tom Thomson was a interesting artist and he has influenced in many Canadian painter, unfortunately his pictures here are not the best ones. On fryday I went to Vaughan's art of Gallery (that is so close to Toronto) and I saw the best Thomson's pictures, his skecthes. Thease pictures are more intense than the big ones, wonderfull!!
The Group of Seven seems interesting too; this group painted together for a long time but their pictures did not go the same way. That is too modern for me.
"Canadian Nature" is the main context in Canadian pictures; however there were many painters influenced by european context. One of this painter was Paul Peel, wich impressionist brushstroke is brilliant. You can see attached a Paul Peel's pictures: The Young Gleaner or The Butterflies. GORGEOUS!!!
